An electronic portfolio, also known as an e-portfolio or digital portfolio, is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed on the Web. Evidence may include reflections, word files, images, multimedia and blog entries.
eportfolios.org provides an e-Portfolio solution specifically designed and based around the Commonwealth Professional Standards for Teachers & School Leaders. This will help those, who are either training or teaching within the commonwealth, gather and organise their evidence in a way that is efficient and user friendly.
eportfolios.org allows teachers to evidence the following Professional Standards for Teachers & School Leaders:
- Initial Teacher Standards
- Proficient Teacher Standards
- Distinguished Teacher Standards
Trainee teachers need to provide evidence to show they have met the new Commonwealth Professional Standards for Teachers. Our eportfolio facilitates this process by promoting reflection and enabling teachers to upload evidence against each of the provisional standards. Teachers can also showcase their eportfolio to their university tutor and school mentor for assessment and feedback.
Teachers are constantly improving their professional practice, reflecting upon their performance and developing new skills. Our e-Portfolio allows you to document all this as evidence against the new Commonwealth Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders and showcase it to your mentor or manager. Our system promotes reflection and helps you meet your continuing professional development needs.
